JD Finish Line Announces Relocation to Fishers for North America Headquarters, Master Development by Buckingham Companies adds Indy Ignite HQ, Multi-Family in Fishers District Expansion

Mayor Scott Fadness today announced plans for a $169 million sixth phase of the culinary and entertainment hub, Fishers District. Executives from JD North America joined the announcement, unveiling plans to establish the company’s North American Headquarters as an anchor to the master-planned Fishers District development. Buckingham Companies will serve as the master developer of the Fishers District expansion that includes the new Fishers Fieldhouse, a 180,000 square foot facility that will serve as the headquarters and practice facility for Major League Volleyball’s Indy Ignite and youth basketball and volleyball leagues and tournaments. Buckingham also announced the addition of 167 multi-family units and 98 townhomes to bring more living options to Fishers District.

“Today marks another major milestone for Fishers and Fishers District,” said Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness. “With JD North America’s headquarters anchoring today’s announcement, not only are we bringing hundreds of jobs to Fishers, but we’re building on Fishers’ next chapter. The Fishers Fieldhouse will not only serve as the new HQ for Indy Ignite, providing world-class practice facilities just steps from their home court, but also continue our investments in youth sports. We’re continuing our investment in building a destination Fishers residents can be proud of.”

JD North America Headquarters

JD North America, home to the JD and Finish Line brands, will establish its new corporate headquarters at the 350,000-square-foot The Link building, located at 11100 USA Parkway. The Fishers headquarters will be home to over 400 existing corporate employees with plans to add 200 more jobs in the next few years. JD North America will acquire and remodel The Link, the former headquarters of Navient, to support long-term talent retention and attraction.

“Moving our North America headquarters to the Fishers District is a major step forward, allowing us to create a modern space that perfectly reflects our sports fashion brand,” said John Hall, CEO & Managing Director of JD North America. “This location, with its blend of sports and entertainment, retail, and access to recreation, naturally complements the active lifestyle and forward-thinking culture of JD. We are incredibly excited to create a premier, talent-driven workplace that matches the vibe of our retail stores, and we’re proud to join this vibrant new district and grow alongside the city of Fishers.”

Renovations of the current building will begin in 2027 to create a next‑generation headquarters environment tailored to JD North America’s growth plans. The move represents a major reinvestment in Central Indiana’s growing sports, retail, and lifestyle cluster.

Fishers Fieldhouse

The City of Fishers unveiled plans for the $65 million, 180,000-square-foot Fishers Fieldhouse to serve both the growing need for youth sports facilities and the regional volleyball community. Fishers Fieldhouse will also become the official training and headquarters home for Major League Volleyball’s Indy Ignite. The top-ranked professional women’s volleyball franchise will be positioned just steps from its home court at the Fishers Events Center, giving the team a 29,000-square-foot home base for team practice and training and the daily operations of its front office.

“After two incredible seasons, the construction of our beautiful new headquarters at Fishers Fieldhouse, within walking distance of our home court at Fishers Event Center, is a critical next step in the evolution of the Indy Ignite,” said Mary Kay Huse, the team’s president and general manager. “We are so grateful to the City of Fishers for our partnership, and we are also proud to lead the way in Major League Volleyball with this facility. As the league continues to grow, I have no doubt more teams will follow suit quickly.”

Equipped with flex space for 10 basketball or 20 volleyball courts, Fishers Fieldhouse marks an additional investment in youth sports assets to host large-scale tournaments and welcome visitors from the $40 billion youth sports industry.

“Youth sports are part of the fabric of what makes Fishers a great community,” said City-District Athletic Director Jim Self. “The Fishers Fieldhouse builds on our strategy to invest in youth sports to capitalize on the growing industry and bring more opportunities to our athletes.”

Pro Net Sports will expand its operations in Fishers, adding the Fishers Fieldhouse as the home for a new Indy Hoops Academy Girls basketball program and a new AAU boys basketball program, while also attracting tournaments from across the country.

“We are excited to work alongside the City of Fishers on this venture and help further establish Fishers as one of the leading youth sports destinations in Indiana and across the country,” said Pro Net Sports Founder Matthew Webster. “With the launch of the girls Indy Hoops Academy and boys AAU basketball programs, this partnership will provide local families with access to a premier, state-of-the-art sports facility close to home.”

The Fishers Fieldhouse will break ground in fall 2026 and is anticipated to open in late 2027 or early 2028.

Walkable Lifestyle Living

The JD North America headquarters and Fishers Fieldhouse will serve as a centerpiece for the next phase of the Fishers District expansion, along with over 300 new class A residential rental apartments and townhomes on a 50-acre mixed-use development site adjacent to the Fishers Event Center. The new addition will create a walkable, entertainment‑driven district that brings together sports, food, retail, and residential living.

“Buckingham is proud to bring our development, construction and management expertise to the thriving Fishers District. We build vibrant mixed-use communities, not simply buildings — grounded in local culture, inspired design, and unmatched amenities,” said Brad Chambers, CEO & President of Buckingham Companies. “This next chapter of Fishers District will be a true destination to live, work and play for the global workforce of JD Sports, our new residents and the entire community.”

Buckingham’s newest high-end community, named Contrast | Fishers, will be the second of its Contrast brand and first in Indiana. Contrast | Fishers will include 167 studio, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments, and 98 three- and four-bedroom townhomes. Buckingham will break ground in 2026 with anticipated completion late 2028.
